Storyline

Jackson Schultz is a burned-out IT technician and an uninspired musician sleepwalking through life. When he's sent to a dusty Texas border town on a routine assignment with a coworker, he expects boredom not a windfall. But everything changes when he stumbles upon a stash of stolen cash. Seeing it as his shot at reinvention, Jackson secretly takes the money and begins plotting a quiet escape. Then he meets Mercedes-a seductive burlesque dancer with secrets of her own and falls hard. But their whirlwind romance is quickly overshadowed by danger when two ruthless hitmen surface, determined to recover the stolen loot. Things spiral further out of control when Mercedes' ex-lover Chato, a volatile gang leader, catches wind of the money and wants his cut.
