Storyline

In July 1976, an Air France flight from Tel-Aviv to Paris via Athens was hijacked and forced to land in Entebbe, Uganda. The Jewish passengers were separated and held hostage in demand to release many terrorists held in Israeli prisons. After much debate, the Israeli government sent an elite commando unit to raid the airfield and release the hostages. Four hijackers take over an airplane, force it to land in Entebbe, Uganda, and take the Israeli passengers hostage in 1976 in an effort to free dozens of Palestinian terrorists and anarchists jailed in Israel, Germany, and Sweden. This is the story about the daring rescue executed by the Israeli Defense Force. In 1976, four terrorists hijack Air France Flight 139 en route from Tel Aviv, Israel to Paris, France via Athens, Greece and hold the passengers hostage after a forced landing in Entebbe in the hope of forcing Israel to release members of P.F.L.P. imprisoned by the Mossad. In 1976, two Palestinian and two German terrorists hijacked Air France Flight 139 en-route from Tel Aviv to Paris. They held the passengers and crew hostage at Entebbe, Uganda and demanded a ransom of five million dollars for the airplane, and the release of fifty-three Palestinian and pro-Palestinian militants, forty of whom were prisoners in Israel. When all diplomatic efforts failed, the Israeli government decided not to negotiate and approved a counter-terrorist hostage rescue operation by Israeli Defense Forces commandos. 1 more See all
