An elegant actor poised for major roles in British and American film and TV production, Tuppence Middleton (birthname: Tuppence Middleton) is one of the new faces of the Downton Abbey saga as it has shifted into feature films. Her role as Lucy in the first Downton Abbey film (2019) continued in the subsequent Downton Abbey: A New Era (2022), with Maggie Smith and Samantha Bond.

Middleton’s appearance as part of the Mankiewicz family in David Fincher’s Mank (2020) with Gary Oldman, Amanda Seyfried, and Charles Dance, as well as her breakthrough turn in The Imitation Game (2014) with Benedict Cumberbatch (with whom she also co-starred in 2017’s The Current War: Director’s Cut), may give the impression that Middleton is a specialist in period work.

Personal life

A native of Bristol, England, Tuppence Middleton’s parents are Nigel and Tina Middleton, and her siblings are older sister Angel and younger brother Josh, a frontman and heavy metal guitarist in the band Architects and Sylosis. Middleton attended Bristol Grammar School, where she became involved in musical theater, and continued her theater studies at London’s Arts Educational School, where she earned an honors degree in acting. Tuppence Middleton is not married and has no children. Her height is 5’ 7”.
